William Kish, Sr. Obituary

William M. “Reds” Kish, Sr., 84, of Plainfield Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 02, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township.  He was the husband of Carol A. (Strike) Kish.  The couple celebrated 65 years of marriage last October.

Born in Wilson Borough, Reds was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Dashner) Kish.  He attended Pen Argyl High School.  A true car enthusiast and restoration expert, Reds enjoyed a lengthy career in the automobile body shop industry that included employment with the former Tommy’s Highway, a Ford dealership in Pen Argyl, where he worked for many years as a technician and manager.  During a brief period before retiring in 2002, he was employed at C.F. Martin Guitar as a sprayer.  Reds had a passion for Pony cars and was a very active member of the first Pennsylvania Mustang Club and was instrumental in organizing two Grand National events.  He was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nazareth.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Carol, he is survived by son, W. Michael Kish, Jr. and companion, Wanda Wiswall, of Sciota; daughter, Danette Kish of Pen Argyl; brother, Richard “Butch” Kish of Nazareth; sister, Judy Barron of Palmer Township; nieces and nephews.

Reds was predeceased by a brother, Eugene “Bob” Kish.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 09, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.  Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Immediately following the service, a private ceremony will be held with the family to place the cremated remains of Reds into the columbarium of the church.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
