Roy W. Hildebrand passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township, on Sunday, February 04, 2024, with his loving wife and son at his side.  He was 80.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stanley L. and Florence (Harmon) Hildebrand.  After graduating from Dieruff High School in 1961, Roy honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.  He later attended Penn State University Extension throughout his professional career as a draftsman.  Roy retired from Mack Trucks, Allentown, where he worked for many years.  Prior to that, he was employed at the former Lehigh Structural Steel Company, Allentown, until they closed.  An avid bowler, Roy enjoyed participating in leagues at the Holy Family Club, and he faithfully adhered to an exercise regimen, three times a week, at St. Luke’s Fitness & Sports Performance Center – Anderson Campus.

Survivors: He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Susan N. (Heffelfinger) Hildebrand, as well as his son, Michael L. Hildebrand of Nazareth; brother-in-law, Richard Heffelfinger and wife, Tracy, of Nazareth; four sisters-in-law, Sally Gassler of Easton, Roberta Mack of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, Moselle Schoenfelder and husband, Steve, of Richland, Michigan, and Shirley A. (Weil) Hildebrand of Center Valley; nieces and nephews.

Roy was predeceased by a son, Scott A. Hildebrand; a brother, Larry R. Hildebrand; and a sister, Karen Kemp.

Services: In keeping with Roy’s wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath.
