Mildred "Tiny" Gillingham Obituary

Mildred Jean "Tiny" Gillingham, 89, of Forks Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late William Gillingham, who passed away in 2020. She was born in Barrett Township, PA on December 29, 1934 the daughter of the late Luther and Iva (Newhard) Snyder.

Mildred initially pursued a career as a seamstress before dedicating her life to creating a loving home as a homemaker, she found great joy in caring for her family and spreading kindness to those around her. Throughout her life, Mildred volunteered her time and generously contributed to various civic organizations, including the Allentown Crime Watch and AARP, exemplifying her commitment to her community. She enjoyed spending time at the Northampton County Senior Center, taking leisurely walks, visiting flea markets, attending outdoor concerts, and basking in the serenity of her patio.

Survivors:

Tiny will be lovingly remembered by Nieces & Nephews. In addition to her spouse, William, she was predeceased by children: Bruce and Jean Gillingham; siblings: Luther Snyder, Florence Leap, Violet Creyer, Betty Williamson and Robert Snyder.

Services:

Funeral Services will be held privately including burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park - Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. The GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC - Bath, PA  18014 is in charge of the arrangements.
