Michael J. “Doc” Getz

We celebrate the life of Michael J. “Doc” Getz, 66, of Nazareth, who passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Franklin G. and Gloria M. (Iannarelli) Getz.  A 1974 graduate of Nazareth High School, Mike was employed at NRG Generation Station, formerly Met-Ed, where he was a repairman for many years until retiring.

He was a member of Whitfield Lodge No. 622 F. & A.M. - Tatamy and was known for always willing to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors.  Mike was also a motorcycle enthusiast who embraced the motorcycle community with open arms, forming deep and lasting connections with fellow riders.

Surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends, Mike embarked on his final ride into the great unknown.

In addition to his wife of nearly 48 years, the former Janet V. Keen, he will be missed by sons, John and wife, Allison, and Todd; daughter, Stacy Rice and husband, Shawn; brother, Joseph and wife, Debra; along with nieces and nephews.

At a later date, there will be a celebration of life for close family and friends.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
