Margaret A. “Marggy” Schoeneberger passed away unexpectedly at her home in Bushkill Township on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was 62. Marggy and her husband, Howard F. “Spike” Schoeneberger, celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on July 28th.
Born in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of Margaret “Peggy” (Angelmire) Yeakel of Nazareth, and the late Elwood D. Yeakel. A 1979 graduate of Nazareth High School, Marggy continued her education at Lehigh Carbon County Community College where she earned an Associate degree in Applied Science for Occupational Therapy. Currently employed in the activities department at Alexandria Manor, Nazareth, Marggy previously enjoyed a lengthy career as an Occupational Therapist at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch and crafted many prayer shawls for loved ones. Marggy was an avid gardener and known for her green thumb, and she cherished spending time with her grandkids and the wonderful memories of vacations at Ocean City, NJ.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Spike, and her mother, Peggy, she will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughters, Amanda Szutar and husband, Benjamin, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rebecca Sisley and husband, Vince, of Riverside, NJ; four grandchildren, Aaron, Jonah, Alexandria, and Kara; siblings, Mark Yeakel of Nazareth, and Catherine Mingora and husband, Kevin, of Saylorsburg; a brother-in-law, Bill Schoeneberger and wife, Shirley, of Manchester, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives may call from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in God’s Acre of Nazareth Moravian Cemetery, Nazareth.
