Kenneth W. Setzer, 81, of Bushkill Township, formerly of Stewartsville, NJ, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loving family on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Alexandria Manor in Bethlehem. Born inBushkill Township, he was a son of the late Donald O. Sr. and Hazel I. (Teel) Setzer. Ken was last employed in the maintenance department at Warren Hills High School for 10 years until retiring. Prior to that, he worked at the former Witco Chemical plant in Harmony, NJ, where he was employed for many years before the plant closed. Ken was an avid fisherman and a lifelong member of Bushkill United Methodist Church.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of many years, Catherine E. (Burnett) Setzer of Moore Township; a daughter, Emily J. Correll and husband, Steven, of Bushkill Township; a son, Jeremy Setzer of Moore Township; two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Randi Correll; a brother, Leslie “Louie” Setzer and wife, Darlene, of Palmer Township; a sister, Beverly Setzer of Upper Nazareth Township; along with many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by four brothers, Barry L. Sr., Lawrence J., Donald O. Jr., and Robert C. Setzer; and two sisters, Clara M. Heckman-Miller and Lorraine Toncik.
Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
