Jeanette I. (Getz) Itterly

Jeanette I. Itterly, 88, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Stockertown on Saturday, May 27, 2023. She was the wife of Edward E. Itterly. The couple celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in March. Born in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Catherine E. (Werner) Getz. Jeanette attended Nazareth High School and worked in the garment industry for 40 years. A member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, she was a sewing machine operator and last employed at A & H Sportswear in Easton, before retiring in 2002. Jeanette formerly served on the Stockertown Borough Council as well as serving on the Youth Association for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo and, in earlier years, she enjoyed polka and square dancing.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Edward, she will be deeply missed by her children, Ricky Itterly and wife, Esther, of Nazareth, Tina Kline and husband, Alan, of Upper Nazareth Township, Regina Kittek and husband, Jody, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Kathleen Dimmich and husband, Ralph, with whom she resided; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Getz, Sr. and wife, Nancy, of Nazareth; a sister, Yvonne Young of Palmer Township; a brother-in-law, Charles Itterly and wife, Betty, of Moore Township; along with nieces and nephews. Jeanette was predeceased by a brother, Royce S. Getz, Sr.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 01, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Jeanette's burial will be private.
