Diane F. Detweiler

Diane F. Detweiler, 94, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at The Palmerton. She is the wife of the late John R. Detweiler who passed in 1985.  She was born in Nazareth on July 30, 1929 to the late Elwood and Ella (Hahn) Stark.  

Diane's life was filled with warmth and love. A proud graduate of Nazareth High School, she dedicated her career to working as a sewing machine operator at various textile mills. She was a valued member of the Nazareth Moravian Church and actively contributed to the International Ladies Garment Worker’s Union. Diane found joy in the simple pleasures of sewing, reading, and cherishing moments with her family.

SURVIVORS:

Children: Dr. Michelle Detweiler of Miami, FL and Scott Detweiler and his wife Diana of Slatington; grandchildren: Adam, Evan, Kyle, Cesare, Erica and Ella. Diane is predeceased by siblings: Donald Stark & Barbara Zemba.

SERVICE:

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Nazareth Moravian Cemetery - Center and Willow Streets, Nazareth.
