William C. "Junior" Kratzer, 73, of Slatington, formerly of Walnutport, will be remembered fondly as a devoted father and cherished friend. With a heavy heart, we announce that he passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus, with his loving daughter, Jolene, by his side. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia J. (Smale) Kratzer, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage until her passing in 2025.

Born in Allentown on October 21, 1952, Junior was the son of the late William P. and Helen E. (Borger) Kratzer. He graduated in 1970 from Northampton High School and subsequently embarked on a fulfilling career in the garment industry, dedicating many years to the former Paris Neckwear Co., Inc. in Walnutport before retiring early due to disability.

Junior had a profound love for sports, especially baseball, and was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. His dedication to the game was evident in his impressive baseball card collection, a treasured hobby that brought him much joy throughout his life. He was also an avid bowler who enjoyed the competitive spirit of league bowling. In addition to his love for sports, he will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jolene M. Kratzer and her partner, Phil Campbell, of Northampton; two sisters, Lisa Strohl and her husband, Lee, of Walnutport, and Karen Scherer and her husband, Thomas, of Emmaus; along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

In honor of his life, a private graveside service will be held at Trachsville Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his memory and the impact he had on their lives. Arrangements and cremation care are entrusted to the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., located in the Village of Moorestown - Bath.

Those wishing to express their sympathy may do so online at www.bensingfuneralhome.net.

As we bid farewell to Junior, let us carry his spirit in our hearts and remember the joy he brought into our lives.
