Terry Allen Steinmetz, 54, of Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Dawn Steinmetz (Powell) to whom he was married to for 27 years. Born in East Stroudsburg, Terry was a son of the late Earl E. Sr.and Gloria M. Steinmetz (Dietz). Outside of work, he was happiest at Blue Valley Lanes, where he was a familiar face and an avid, passionate bowler. Whether competing in the Wednesday Night Mixed League or the Saturday Night Hit or Miss League, he cherished the friendships, camaraderie, and friendly competition that came with the sport. Bowling was more than a hobby-it was a way of life, and Blue Valley Lanes became a second home where countless memories were made.

When he wasn't at the bowling alley, he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, appreciating the peace and beauty of nature. A devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins, he faithfully followed his favorite team through every season. Above all, he was a man of Lutheran faith, whose values of kindness, humility, and fellowship were reflected in the way he lived and in the relationships he built throughout his life.In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Brenda Stauffer (Larry) of Washington Twp., Ruth Ann Kutz (Kevin) of Bangor; brother: Gerald Steinmetz (Tracy) of Bangor; mother-in-law: Ann Powell of Upper Mt. Bethel Twp; many nieces & nephews. Terry is preceded in death by a brother, Earl E. Steinmetz, Jr. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the North Bangor Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
