Terry M. Hannold, 83, of Moore Twp., PA, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 27, 2025 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Rita Schaadt, to whom he was married to for 35 years. Born in Warren, PA, Terry was the beloved son of the late Leason and Evelyn Hannold (Reed).
Terry's early years were defined by a love for the outdoors and the simple joys of hunting, fishing, and baseball. Some of his most cherished memories were spent in the woods and streams of Hearts Content and Blue Eye Run in Warren County, PA, sharing those special moments with his father and daughter, Jennifer.
A 1961 graduate of Warren Area High School, Terry began his professional journey as a Draftsman for Struthers in Warren, PA. Answering a call to service, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably as a Medical Specialist between 1962-1966.
After his military service, Terry found his true calling in conservation. He began as a deputy for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission in Warren County, PA. In 1974, he accepted a promotion and served as a Waterways Conservation Officer in Northampton County for 30 years, retiring in 2003. His devotion to Pennsylvania's natural resources left a legacy of environmental stewardship that continues to inspire.
Terry's love for the outdoors endured throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman, often venturing to Quebec, Canada, with his father and close friends. In later years, he found joy on the golf course with a close-knit circle. Alongside his wife, Rita, Terry also shared a compassionate heart for animals-rescuing and fostering countless pets in need.
A man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication, Terry will be remembered not only for his service and work, but for his humor, kindness, wisdom, and love that he gave to family, friends and his community.
