It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susie Charriez Schoeneberger, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a resident of Wasilla, Alaska. Surrounded by her loving family, Susie was welcomed into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. She was 55 years old.

Susie and her beloved husband, Todd, celebrated 32 beautiful years of marriage on November 13.

Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Susie was the daughter of the late Mariano Charriez Rivera and Esther Rivera Silva. She was a 1988 graduate of Reading High School and continued her education at Kutztown University, where her studies focused primarily on social work.

Always striving to help others, Susie lived a life of service. She and her husband dedicated their lives to caring for children in need, opening their home and hearts as foster parents to many. In addition, Susie devoted endless hours volunteering at Studio B in Germantown, Tennessee, and Sonja's Studio of Performing Arts in Wasilla, Alaska, where she joyfully supported young performers and creative communities.

Susie had a deep love for crafting, finding joy and peace in creating things by hand for those she loved. She also enjoyed listening to all types of music, but found her greatest comfort in Christian praise and worship music.

In addition to her husband, Todd, Susie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Joshua Schoeneberger and his fiancee, Hannah Bethel, of Wasilla, Alaska, and Alyssa Schoeneberger, at home; her cherished granddaughter, Magnolia "Maggie"; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles Jr. and Deanna (Fuls) Schoeneberger, of Plainfield Township; her siblings, Jorge Charriez, Angel Rivera, Lydia Charriez Marrero, Irma Charriez Marrero, Raquel Charriez Marrero, Rosie Charriez Gonzalez, Lizette
Husar, Janece Charriez Rivera, and Elizabeth Charriez Rivera; a brother-in-law, Troy Schoeneberger; a sister-in-law, Tamara Lenig; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in
Schoeneck Moravian Church, 316 N. Broad Street Extension, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will follow in God's Acre of Schoeneck Moravian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.bensingfuneralhome.net (www.bensingfuneralhome.net)
