Starr E.
Notaro
Aug 1, 1956 — Jul 3, 2026
Starr E. Notaro, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home in Moore Township, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted husband and family. She and her beloved husband, Peter D. Notaro, would have celebrated 33 wonderful years of marriage on September 8.
Born in Fountain Hill, Starr was the daughter of the late Henry "Bud" and Loretta (Rissmiller) Sensenbach. A 1974 graduate of Northampton High School, she possessed a sharp mind, an unmistakable charisma, and a radiant spirit that drew people to her throughout her life. She built a successful career in the beauty industry, eventually owning and operating her own salon for many years, where her talent, creativity, and genuine connection with others earned the trust and loyalty of countless clients and lasting friendships.
Starr had a gift for making every room brighter simply by being in it. She was quick-witted, compassionate, stylish, and full of life. Whether spending time with family, shopping, enjoying a vacation, watching a good movie, or sharing a meal with friends, she found joy in life's moments both big and small. Her greatest happiness, however, was her family. She was a proud and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to cheer on her children at their sporting events and celebrate their accomplishments. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering support were gifts that will continue to shape their lives.
She was a faithful member of Christ Church of Bath United Church of Christ.
In addition to her loving husband, Pete, Starr will be deeply missed by her children, Kylee Richie and her husband, Danny, of Catasauqua; Ashley Marx and her husband, Billy, of Lafayette Hill; and Evan Notaro and his wife, Sarah, of Blue Bell; her cherished grandsons, Liam and Ashton; her mother-in-law, Angelina Notaro of Upper Nazareth Township; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Starr was predeceased by her three sisters, Karen A. Milkovits, Dawn I. Koehler, and Frances G. Miller.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., in the Village of Moorestown-Bath.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Walk to End Alzheimer's in Philadelphia with Ashley, Liam, and Ashton and click to donate: https://alzm.org/ihemv
