Scott R. Sargent, 68, formerly of Nazareth, passed away peacefully at his residence in Moore Township, with his loving partner, Stacey, at his side, on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Born in Somerville, NJ, Scott was the son of the late Stewart R. and Nellie P. (Philhower) Sargent. He was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School, Class of 1974. Scott was employed at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth, where he worked in the maintenance department before retiring early due to health concerns. Previously, he was a painter and employed for more than 20 years at Scheier Building in Tewksbury, NJ. Scott was a motorcycle enthusiast, which was his passion, and he absolutely loved going to motorcycle races and shows. He attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Bethel.
Survivors: In addition to his loving partner, Stacey Schutts, with whom he resided, and her daughter, Madisen, he is survived by two sons, Brent Sargent and wife, Megan, of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Greg Sargent and fiancée, Sarah Barani, of Lake Worth, Florida; two grandchildren, Henry and Sienna; two sisters, Linda Hay and husband, David, of Milford, NJ, and Kim Sargent of Fort White, Florida; nieces and nephews; uncle, Wellington Sargent and wife, Roxie, of Monmouth, NJ; and cousin, Lydia Gaeta and husband, Steve, of Barnegat, NJ.
Services: Private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
Contributions: Memorial contributions may be offered in memory of Scott to the American Cancer Society.
