Obituary

Listen to Obituary

After her courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra L. Bonisese, a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend. Sandy passed away peacefully while surrounded by tremendous love and family at her home in Roseto on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026.

Born in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late Louise (Tascone) Kline and Richard Kline. A 1978 graduate of Northampton High School, Sandy enjoyed a successful career in the banking industry, which spanned 40 years before retiring as a branch manager. Beyond her professional working career, she found pleasure in the simple things in life, immersing herself in God's nature. Known for her green thumb, Sandy loved to garden and tend her flower beds, as well as bird watching and soaking up the sun while in the swimming pool with family and friends.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Roseto.

Sandy leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of nearly 40 years, Leo Bonisese, Jr.; her three children who will dearly miss her, Angelica M. Bonisese and partner, Patrick Henning, of Stroudsburg, Christian D. Bonisese of Roseto, and David C. DePalma, Jr. and fiancee, Shannon Muhlenbruch, of Bangor; her precious grandchildren, Lillie Anne and Skyler; sisters, Phyllis Mitchem and husband, William, of Bushkill Township, Carla Eckert of Huntingdon, PA, and Peggy Danubio and husband, Angelo, of Bangor; brothers, Richard Kline and wife, Deb, of Rhode Island, and Raymond Kline and wife, Angie, of Easton; along with nieces and nephews; and her pet dog, Apollo.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leopold "Leo" Bonisese, III, in 2019; and a son-in-law, Matthew D. Brennan, in 2023.

Friends and Relatives are invited to pay their respects on Friday evening, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. A Mass of Christian Burial for Sandy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 560 N. 6th Avenue, Roseto, PA 18013. Interment will immediately follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
