He often greeted friends with the familiar question, "Have you seen any hot rods lately?"

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert C. Stanley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who left us on July 19, 2026, at the age of 84. He was the husband of Susan V. (Bauer) Stanley for 58 years.

Born on May 2, 1942, in Lock Haven, PA, Bob was the son of the late Charles and Anne (Ziegler) Stanley.

Bob joined the United States Navy after high school, where he trained as a naval pilot. During his service, he especially enjoyed his time stationed in Hawaii. After receiving an honorable discharge, he continued his love of aviation by flying private planes and worked as an aircraft mechanic, along with various other jobs over the years.

Everyone who knew Bob knew he had a deep love for classic cars. He often greeted friends with the familiar question, "Have you seen any hot rods lately?" His passion for mechanics and automobiles inspired countless vehicle restorations, but none ever surpassed his cherished cherry-red 1933 Chevy Master. His enthusiasm for engines and adventure also extended to motorcycles and boats, creating many unforgettable memories and years of enjoyment with his beloved wife, Susan.

Along with his beloved wife, Susan, Bob is survived by his daughters, Veronica Stanley-Hooper and her husband, Steve, of Santa Clarita, CA, Cristy S. Dougherty and her husband, Patrick, of Harleysville, PA; grandchildren, Sydney, Coda, Braelie, Ariel, Joshua, Owen; sister, Cindy Martino, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his siblings, Carl Stanley and Carol Hughes.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at 11:00am in the Holy Family Parish, 410 W Center St, Nazareth, PA 18064 with Military Honors to follow. Prior to the mass, a visitation will take place at the George G.
