Robert W. Hess, 55, was stricken at his home in Saylorsburg, and passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe Campus in Stroud Township, surrounded by loving family.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Bernice (Bender) Hess. He attended Bangor High School. Known to many as “Big Bob”, he owned and operated Blue Mountain Home Renovations, a construction and home improvement business for many years. He was a talented wood craftsman and a free spirit who always looked forward to enjoying a ride on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors: Big Bob is survived by three daughters, Adrienne Feldon and companion, Richard Asher, of Mississippi, Amanda Longyhore and companion, William O’Neill, of Saylorsburg, and Ilissa Hess and companion, Jay Sobol, of Bushkill Township; seven grandchildren; four siblings, Christine “Susie” Reph and husband, Randy, Debbie Bender and husband, Chris, both of Kunkletown, John “Jake” Hess and wife, Robin, of Klecknersville, Judi Hess of Dayton, Ohio, and Kathi Fehnel and husband, Jeff, of Kunkletown; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel M. “Danny” Heckman, in 2018.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Bushkill M.E. Cemetery, Bushkill Township.
