Richard Schippers

Richard G. Schippers, 68, of Bushkill Twp., passed away unexpectedly while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Schippers (Schreck) to whom he was married to for 48 years. Born in Easton, Richard was a son of the late Wilbur "Bill" and Marion Amerman (Peterson).

Richard worked in the family business, Amerman Lumber - Bushkill Twp. and worked for PennDOT as seasonal summer help.

Richard will be forever remembered as a man who loved his family. His love for hunting, four-wheeling, and cooking for the family brought joy to those around him. Richard's greatest joy, however, was found in the company of his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His great-grandaughter, Madi, brought love and happiness into his life, and he absolutely adored her.

He will be missed by his children: Shannon Schippers (Tyler Fuller) of Bushkill Twp. and Jason Schippers, of Arvada, CO; grandchildren: Olivia, Joey, Abby, Dustin, Caden; great-granddaughter: Madilynn; siblings: Fay Breiner (Barry) of Easton, Nancy Compagnola (Tony) of Bath, Robin Hahn (Ronald) Easton, PA and Randy Schippers of Wind Gap; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co. - 155 Firehouse Dr, Nazareth, PA 18064.
