Richard Olesh, 83, of Bath, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Lower Saucon Twp. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Olesh to whom he was married to for 57 years before her passing in 2022. Born in Allentown, Richard was deeply loved and regarded as a son by the late Olga Roxberry.

In his younger years, Richard was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Allentown. He proudly served his country during peacetime in the United States Navy. He had a true green thumb and found great joy in gardening, plants, and all aspects of nature. An
outdoorsman at heart, Richard enjoyed hunting, though he was far more likely to be found capturing photographs of wildlife than taking a shot at a deer. He was employed for many years as a Production Supervisor at MACK Trucks, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He will be dearly missed by his sons: Richard Olesh, Jr. (Cara) and Sean Olesh both of Bath; grandsons: Cole, Joshua, Ethan & Benjamin; siblings: Michael Roxberry (Joan) of Zephyr Hills, FL, John Roxberry of Watertown, NY, Patrick Roxberry of Great Cacapon, WV, Colleen Baddick of Tamaqua. Richard was precded in death by a sister: Christina Lucash.

As per Richards wishes, a brief prayer service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to a visitation from 9:30 until the time of the service. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park - Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. Luke's Hospice - 2455 Black River Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18015 and/or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (national office) 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814.
