Randy Smith
Rowe Sr.
June 7, 1961 – May 30, 2026
Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church
1:00 - 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Randy Smith Rowe, Sr. 64, of Pen Argyl, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Christine Rowe (Mack) to whom he was married to for 42 years. Born in Stroudsburg, Randy was a son of the late Smith Rowe and Barbara Griffith (Frey).
Throughout the years, he was employed as a construction worker, slate quarry industry worker and most recently retired from Just Born - Bethlehem, where he was known as a dependable and dedicated employee.
Proudly serving his country, he was a veteran of the United States Army, carrying with him the values of service, commitment, and perseverance throughout his life.
An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and enjoyment along local streams and waterways. He was especially passionate about fishing, particularly fly fishing, and took great pride in crafting his own fishing lures and hand-tied flies. Whether casting a line into a favorite trout stream or sharing stories of the one that got away, some of his happiest moments were spent near the water.
Earlier in life, he also enjoyed bowling and the friendships that came with it. At home, however, he was perhaps best known for his talents in the kitchen. He loved cooking and baking for family and friends, rarely missing an opportunity to share a meal with others. His legendary chocolate cake topped with rich chocolate mousse icing became a favorite among those fortunate enough to enjoy it. Bringing people together through food was one of the many ways he showed his love.
A true jack-of-all-trades, there seemed to be little he couldn't repair. If something was broken, he would find a way to fix it. His resourcefulness, determination, and mechanical know-how made him the person family and friends turned to for help. No one appreciated those talents more than his beloved wife, for whom he was a constant source of support, guidance, and care.
He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, generous heart, willingness to help others, and the countless ways he made life easier and brighter for those he loved.
In addition to his wife, he has his sons: Randy Jr. (wife - Cali) & Jacob (fiance-Amanda) both of Wind Gap, PA; grandchildren: Carter and Caidence; brothers: Steve Rowe of Roseto & William Rowe (wife - Brenda) of Pen Argyl; and his boxer Diesel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM on Sunday June 7, 2026 at Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church - 1433 Main Street, Bath, PA 18014. Interment with military honors will take place at the Wind Gap Cemetery at a later date. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - Bath/Moorestown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church. https://chapmanquarriesumc.org/
