IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis A.
Gostony
November 26, 1957 – January 14, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis A. Gostony of Moore Township. She was 68. Phyllis courageously battled cancer before passing away on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital in West Chester, while surrounded by her loving husband and son. She and her husband, Jeffrey, celebrated 45 years of marriage on June 15.
Born in Fountain Hill, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Frank E. Sr. and Ethel V. (Moser) Dutt. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, Class of 1975 with honors, and attended the University of Delaware. Encouraged by her husband to continue her education, Phyllis successfully earned an Associate degree in Business Administration from Northampton Community College.
Phyllis thoroughly enjoyed manifesting a warm and loving home and family as a magnificent homemaker, devoted wife, and amazing mother. Known for having a green thumb, she loved gardening. Phyllis also enjoyed crafts, especially sewing and crocheting. Unlimited in her talents, Phyllis also was an award-winning baker and received numerous blue ribbon awards for her baked goods at the Great Allentown Fair. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moorestown.
In addition to her husband, Jeffrey, she will be dearly missed by her son, Ben, of Moore Township; brothers, Frank E. Dutt, Jr. and wife, Marlea, of Massachusetts, Leslie Dutt and wife, Ellie, of Hyde Park, NY, and Ken Dutt of Delaware; sisters, Connie McCormick and husband, John, of Bear, Delaware, and Janice Meixell and husband, Kerry, of Moore Township; along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately with the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: www.bensingfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider offering a contribution in memory of Phyllis to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017.
