Phoebe A. Rissmiller, 85, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her residence in Bushkill Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry C. Rissmiller, Sr. to whom she was married 46 years before his passing in 2003.
One of eight children, Phoebe was born in Bangor to the late Thomas C. and Mary C. (Counterman) Hoskin. She attended Bangor High School. Phoebe was employed by the former Dixie Cup Factory in Wilson Borough and Forks Township, where she was a machine operator for more than 30 years before retiring in 1989. She enjoyed playing cards, yahtzee, bird watching, and shared many fond memories of camping with family at Promised Land State Park throughout the years. Phoebe was proud of her family and cherished the moments spent with them. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire her children and their families for generations to come. Phoebe was a former member of Bushkill United Methodist Church.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her two daughters, Connie L. Ritter of Northampton, and Tina Aul with whom she resided; three sons, Larry C. Rissmiller, Jr. of Bangor, Lewis C. Rissmiller and wife, Noel, of Story, Wyoming, and Lee C. Rissmiller with whom she resided; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Larry Sr., she was predeceased by a son, LeRoy C. "Tubby" Rissmiller: two grandsons, Joseph Rissmiller and James E. "Jimmy" Williams; four brothers; and three sisters.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Bushkill M.E. Cemetery, Bushkill Township.
