Peter Bohun, Jr. 86, of Moore Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg He was the beloved husband of Elaine Bohun to whom he was married to for 60 years. Born in Moore Twp., Peter was a son of the late Peter Sr. and Pauline Longenbach (Oplinger). Peter was employed as an Oiler for the Bethlehem Steel.

He was a lifelong member of the Petersville Rod and Gun Club, and was also a member of the Point Phillips Rod and Gun Club. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling, though he often joked that if you hadn't seen a deer within the first two hours of the day, it was probably time to head home. A devoted NASCAR fan, he could often be found following the races and cheering on some of his favorite drivers through the years, including Cale Yarborough, Dale Earnhardt and Kyle Busch. He also enjoyed keeping up with current events and never missed an opportunity to catch the latest news.

In addition to his wife, he will be dearly missed by his children: Mark Bohun (Kandice Wisler) and Kelly Beers (Michael) of Walnutport; siblings: Judy and Shirley; along with many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by siblings: Allen, Bobby Jr. and Carol.
