Patrick Hitchens, 78, of Bath, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his residence. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Patrick was a son of the late Francis and Louise (Black) Hitchens. Patrick was employed in underground maintenance for AT&T.

Patrick served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army. He served as a member of the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division. Patrick showcased his bravery and skill as an airborne infantryman that specialized in parachute assault. He is a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Bath.

Patrick found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was testing his luck at the casino, relaxing in the great outdoors through camping, fishing, and hunting, or simply spending quality time with his family.

He will be missed by his daughters: Justine G. Hitchens of Wilson Borough & Jodi Fairfield and husband David of Allentown; grandchildren: Daniel, Bliss, Lacey, Christina, Jessica and CJ; 17 great-grandchildren; sister: Louise Meisinger and husband William of Hackettstown, NJ; ex-wife/caregiver: Lori Ann Hitchens of Bath.; Patrick is predeceased by a son: Patrick F. Hitchens; grandchildren: Michael E. Roberts and Michael A. Lopresti; brother: John Hitchens.

As per Patrick's wishes no services will be held. Private interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery - Annville, PA. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC. - Moorestown.
