Patricia A. Hower, 85, of Moore Twp., passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospice House - Lower Saucon Twp., She was the beloved wife of Thomas L. Hower to whom she was married to for 68 years. Born in Belfast, Patricia was a daughter of the late William Hofstetter and Anna Biechy (Ruth).
A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was a devoted member of Covenant United Methodist Church - Klecknersville, where she taught Adult Sunday School and served faithfully as a member of the worship team. Her faith extended beyond the church walls, as she was active in women's retreats and joyfully served as a song leader at retreats held in the Pocono Mountains.
In her early years, she worked as a waitress at the Carlton Restaurant in Nazareth before dedicating 38 years of service as a bus driver with IU 20 in the Special Needs Division, where her patience, kindness, and steady presence touched countless lives.
She found peace and happiness in life's simple blessings-tending her garden, canning and preserving, getting lost in reading a good book, and challenging her mind with word puzzles.
In addition to her husband, she will be forever remembered by her daughters: Mary Smith (Alan) of Lebanon, PA; Sally Gehris (Dale) of Fair Grove, MO and Susan Toole (Michael) of Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren: Jonathan, Jessica, Joshua, Tabbatha, Damian, Daryl, Andrew, Aaron, Ian, and Rebekah; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother: Charles Ruth (Dolores) of Nazareth, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Covenant United Methodist Church - 2715 Mountain View Dr, Bath, PA 18014.
