Pamela G. "Penny" Young, 78, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 4, 2026. A home that she lived in for over 30 years. She shared that home with her late husband Thomas W. Young, of 55 years until his passing in February of 2025.

Born on February 13, 1948, in Bethlehem, Penny was the daughter of the late Franklin O. and Grace (Wagner) Thornton.

Penny was a proud graduate of Bangor High School, where she developed a strong work ethic that would carry her through life. After her graduation, she briefly entered the workforce before dedicating herself to being a loving homemaker, nurturing her daughter, Kimberly, and her son, Christopher. Once her children graduated, Penny returned to work at Lincoln Textiles, where she contributed her skills as a mill worker for over ten years before her retirement.

Penny had a zest for life that was reflected in her love for antique collecting, a hobby that brought her and her husband, Thomas, joy and satisfaction. They spent countless hours discovering unique pieces that held special stories, often sharing her finds with family and friends. Penny and Tom had a remarkable collection of Blue Willow items that spanned thousands of pieces and sets.

Penny will be dearly missed by her children, Kimberly Young and fiancé Thomas Page, Jr. of
Bushkill Twp., Christopher Young and wife Aimee of Stockertown; granddaughters, Lennon, Emily; great-grandchildren, Jaxxon, Jude, Isla, Iris, as well as the many dear friends that had the plesure of knowing Penny.

Services for Penny will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and cremation are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G.
