IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Myrtle E. K.
Weaver
August 17, 1936 – January 23, 2026
Myrtle E. K. Weaver, 89, of East Penn Twp., formerly of Walnutport, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar Weaver (1988) & Stephen Kratzer (1958). Born in Berlinsville, Myrtle was a daughter of the late Willard and Eva Waylen (Furry). She was a graduate of Northampton High School and was known throughout her life for her strong work ethic and caring nature. She was employed as a seamstress at DeeVille Blouse, later worked as a personal care assistant at Rau Residential Care in Treichlers, and also served as a housekeeper at Manor Care in Allentown.
Above all else, she loved her grandchildren. She rarely missed an opportunity to watch them play sports and cherished the everyday moments-especially the near-daily McDonald's stops she made with them on the way to school. She also enjoyed her scratch-off lottery tickets, which she fondly referred to as her "scratchies."
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Cherryville.
She will be missed by her daughter: Crystal Lorrah (Brad) of Walnutport; grandchildren: Daulton and Amber; great-grandchildren: Faith, Billy, Jesse, Autumn and Ivy; sisters: Eleanor Meckes of Slatington and Elaine Kirchner of Walnutport; countless nieces and nephews. Myrtle is predeceased by a daughter: Ann Gross; grandchildren: Heather Gross & Robert Gross; siblings: Kermit Waylen and JoAnne Waylen; companion: George Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the spring, when family and friends can gather to remember and honor her life. Graveside services at New Hope Cemetery - Little Moore will be private. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. Moorestown/Bath.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to help with final expenses through the crowdfunding option provided within the funeral home website obituary.
