It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael A. Joaquim, age 76, who passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2026. He was the beloved husband to Donna K. (Gassler) Joaquim for 40 years.

Born on February 28, 1949, in the Bronx, NY, Mike was the son to the late Hugh P. and Edith R. (Behler) Joaquim. He lived a life filled with love, dedication, and hard work.

Mike graduated from Chappaqua High School in New York and was an avid handball player. After high school he joined the military. Mike loved being in the military and proudly served his country in the US Navy for 20 years. He served in Cuba, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. He also liked driving and had a long career as a truck driver, retiring from Haines and Kibblehouse.

When his kids were young, he helped coach their sports teams. Mike was an unwavering Yankees fan and Dallas Cowboys fan his whole life.

Mike enjoyed large family gatherings including weekend pool hangs, beach vacations to the OBX, and trips to Phoenix to see his siblings. One of Mike's favorite trips was to Hawaii and it was evident by the big smile he had in every photo.

Along with his wife Donna, Mike is survived by his children, Daniel Joaquim and his wife Amanda of El Paso, AR, Kaitlin Bollinger and her husband Mike of Quarryville, PA, Kristen Stanford and her husband Mark of Phoenix, AZ, Nicholas Joaquim of Easton, PA; grandchildren, Barret, Alex, Cain, Nora, Maren, Josie, Calah; siblings, Michele Hulse and her husband Terry, Jeffrey Joaquim and his wife Kathy, Richard Joaquim, David Aaron, Christopher Joaquim, Mary Joaquim, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother, John Joaquim.

Services and interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery in Nazareth.
