Margaret Marie
Sabatine
April 26, 1942 – May 13, 2026
Margaret Marie (Albert) Sabatine, of Tamaqua, passed away on Wednesdy, May 13, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital - Miners Campus. She was 84 years old. As a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maggie dedicated her life to caring for her family and fostering a warm and loving home, where she created countless cherished memories.
She was Born on April 26, 1942, in Easton. Maggie was also the loving wife of the late Richard Sabatine who passed away in 2023. She was a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured the time she spent with those she loved most.
Maggie greatly enjoyed nature and loved spending time outdoors. Whether she was gardening, pulling weeds in the yard, or simply enjoying the fresh air, she found peace and happiness outside. She especially loved camping at Moyer's Grove Campground, where she made many cherished friendships over the years.
Over the years, Maggie called several places home, including Martins Creek, Pen Argyl, and Whitehall. While living in Pen Argyl, she enjoyed spending time at the farm with the Buskirk family. More recently, she moved to Tamaqua, where she peacefully passed away.
Maggie enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including bowling, playing pool, and spending summer days at Knoebels Amusement Resort and relaxing by the river on hot afternoons. She also loved western movies and took pride in her DVD and CD collections.
Above all, Maggie loved music. She especially enjoyed singing karaoke and listening to country music - a passion that remained with her until the very end, as country music played peacefully by her side when she passed.
Maggie is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Furry and her husband, Gary, of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Kimberly Whiteneck, Aspen Pereza, and Jeffrey Young, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Liam Allegar, Micah Whiteneck, and Bentley Whiteneck; as well as many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ronnie Albert and Jay Albert.
