Margaret G. Reimer, 98, formerly of Moore Township and Nazareth, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Upper Nazareth Township. She was married to Frederick A. Reimer who passed away in January 1997, one week after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Born in Newburg, Lower Nazareth Township, Margaret was a daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie (George) Lahr. A graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1945, she retired as a teller from the former Second National Bank of Nazareth. Margaret was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Nazareth.
An avid bowler, she bowled in the area for many years and loved playing pinochle with her friends. She was also a great sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Phillies. In her later years, Margaret enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, TV, and her two adopted pet dogs.
Margaret is survived by her loving family: a son, Keith Reimer of Moore Township; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Whalen) Reimer of Pottsville; two grandchildren, Colin Reimer and his partner, Jackie, of San Diego, and Gwendolyn Reimer and her partner, Rob of Westminster, Massachusetts; a great-granddaughter, Juliette; a brother, Amazon "Sonny" Lahr of Bushkill Township; a sister, Eleanor Muller of Upper Nazareth Township; along with nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Frederick, she was predeceased by a son, Craig Lee Reimer, M.D.; and two brothers, Gerald and Ernest Lahr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and Relatives are invited to call on Monday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: www.bensingfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
