IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorraine Joan
Hoffman
August 10, 1938 – March 31, 2026
Lorraine "Rainey" Joan (Williamson) Hoffman, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on March 31, 2026. As a devoted wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be deeply missed.
Rainey was born to Frederick Rittenhouse Williamson and Lillian Irene (Marshall) Williamson in their small mountainside homestead in Pluckemin, New Jersey. She grew up one of nine children. Being in the middle, she helped to raise her sisters before raising three more generations of her own.
Lorraine was a kind, goofy, and fun-loving soul. She was always a hard worker, often holding multiple jobs when her kids were young to ensure they had everything they needed. She taught each generation to work hard and do better.
In her younger days, she could be found with a scotch on the dance floor. As she raised her family she was better known for her picnics and holiday gatherings. She made sure to invite every last family member, so no one felt left out. She'd pack her house full of love, laughter, and delicious food. Lorraine created a wonderful lifetime full of memories for each generation.
Lorraine was predeceased by her loving daughter, Tracey Ann (Graves) Howell. She is survived by her husband Vernon; sons, Timmy and Ned and their spouses; countless grandchildren, including Elsie Violet, Billy, Michael, Ashleigh, Zack, Lindsey, Patrick, Ian, and Tucker; as well as several great-grandchildren including, Malcolm Blaze, Abbey-Lou, Tyler and Travis. She is also survived by her loving dog, Daisey.
A private Celebration of Life for Lorraine will be held at a later date. Please contact Elsie for further details.
