Lorraine Arndt

Lorraine B. Arndt, 85, of Moore Township, passed away on Friday, July 05, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry C. "Hank" Arndt, Jr., to whom she was married for 35 years prior to his passing in 1991.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Pearl (Diehl) Hunsberger. After attending Northampton High School, Lorraine embarked on a career in the garment industry which spanned three decades with employment at various blouse mills in the region, before retiring from the former Sportette Industries in Moore Township.

Throughout the years she developed a passion for dance and participated in many square-dancing sessions at Petersville Rod & Gun Club with her husband, Hank. In later years, Lorraine also enjoyed traveling with friends to polka dances. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, Bath American Legion, and Coplay Saengerbund. Lorraine was a member of Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church and also attended Bushkill United Methodist Church.

Survivors: Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Elliott and husband, Michael, of Bishopville, South Carolina; two sons, Donald C. Arndt and wife, Patti, of Saylorsburg, and Michael R. Arndt and wife, Christine, of Sumter, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Rocky, Brooke, Amanda, and Carly; a sister, Loretta Fenstermaker and husband, Richard, of Northampton; nieces and nephews; and her companion of five years, Lance Huff.

In addition to her husband, Hank, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Stech, Goldie Reiss, and Doris Batz; and two brothers, Clair and Edwin Franklin Hunsberger

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown
