Linda D. Herd, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Danielsville, Lehigh Township, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, while surrounded by loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Bertram J. Herd, Jr. to whom she was married 44 years before his passing in 2009.

Born in Danielsville, Linda was a daughter of the late Grant H. and Lillian A. (Derhammer) Kocher. She was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1961. As she advanced in her professional working career, Linda later attended Moravian College. She had a very successful career that spanned more than 20 years at B. Braun Medical in Bethlehem, before retiring as an executive assistant. Prior to that, Linda was employed at the former First National Bank of Bath.

Passionate about her pets, Linda loved animals and was an ardent supporter of pet rescue shelters. She enjoyed cooking and was a talented baker. A faithful servant of the Lord, Linda was a longtime member of Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, where she dedicated many years of volunteering and organizing fundraising events throughout the years.

Linda will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sisters, Deborah S. Lassitter and husband, Justin, of Summerdale, Alabama, Mary Reddinger and husband, William, of Moore Township, and Ruby L. Eckhart of Lehigh Township; brother, Ricky J. Kocher and wife, Kathy, of Danielsville; nephew, Michael Hall and partner, Kelly Chapman, of Summerdale, Alabama, along with many nieces and nephews; and cousins, especially Carol Siegfried and her husband, Donnie who we wish to sincerely thank for their steadfast support during this most difficult time. Carol was like a sister to our family.

In addition to her husband, Bertram, she was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley A. Kuntz and Cula M. Andrulevich; and a brother, James R. "Jimmy" Kocher.

Linda's viewing and funeral service, with burial at New Hope Cemetery at Little Moore in Danielsville, will be private and at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: www.bensingfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that you consider a memorial contribution in memory of Linda to Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main Street, Bath, PA 18014.
