Larry L. Heckman, Sr., 74, of Moore Township, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem. He and his wife, Arlene M. (Jones) Heckman, recently celebrated 44 years of marriage on June 19.

A lifelong resident of Moore Township, Larry was born in Point Phillips and was a son of the late Norman F. Heckman, Sr. and Joyce R. (Flyte) Heckman Pokrivsak. He attended Northampton High School and, shortly thereafter, embarked on a career operating heavy equipment, a profession that would span more than 50 years. Hardworking and dedicated to providing for his family, Larry was a valued employee of Charles Chrin Companies in Easton, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for more than 30 years before retiring in 2018.

Outside of work, Larry found solitude in the outdoors and was a true sportsman who greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of numerous social and sportsmen's clubs, and was a life member of the East Bath and Petersville Rod & Gun Clubs, as well as the East Lawn Social Club.

In addition to his loving wife, Arlene, he will be dearly missed by his children, Larry L. Heckman, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of East Allen Township, Troy F. Heckman and partner, Jennifer Heckman, of Bethlehem Township, Vincent Murante and Cindy Heckman, both of Slatington, Kimberly Wolf and husband, John, of Maryland, and Kelly Jo Grove of Bethlehem Township; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry Heckman and wife, Sherry, of Bangor; six sisters, Nancy Kasebier of Bangor, Linda Kasebier of Wind Gap, Brenda Farnsworth and husband, Bob, of Catasauqua, Sandy Frisch and husband, Frank, of Bath, Carol Fahr of Bangor, and Bobbi Jo Waldron of Wind Gap; along with many nieces and nephews.

Larry was predeceased by Candy Lynn Heckman an infant daughter; and two brothers, Norman F. Jr. and Charles E. Heckman.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Public Viewing on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014.
