It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Kay F. Wunderly. Kay passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Luke's University Hospital - Bethlehem Campus in Fountain Hill, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 81. Kay was the beloved wife of the late Charles S. "Chuck" Wunderly, III, to whom she was married 55 years before his passing in 2019.

Born in Wilson Borough, Kay was the only child of the late William F. Baker, Sr. and Martha E. (Groner) Heitzman. She was also lovingly embraced as a daughter by the late Marilyn B. (Tucker) Baker. A 1963 graduate of Nazareth High School, she later attended Northampton Community College, where her focus of study was tax preparation. Detail‑oriented and driven to succeed, Kay was a lifelong bookkeeper whose career spanned nearly 40 years before retiring from Holy Family Manor. In more recent years, she enjoyed operating a very successful home‑based tax preparation business for local clients, many of whom she developed and maintained meaningful friendships with over the years. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Beyond her career, Kay was all about family. Proud to be the matriarch, she cherished the opportunity to showcase her organization skills in planning and hosting many family reunions, picnics, parties, and campfires-creating memories that will forever live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. In the quiet time of her day, she enjoyed reading and never missed the chance, on a Friday, to explore local yard sales in hopes of finding that treasured item. She also loved baking and gardening.

Kay will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Sharon L. Christ and husband, Anthony, of Bushkill Township, Scott C. Wunderly of Upper Nazareth Township, and Michael T. Wunderly and wife, Roxanne, of Upper Nazareth Township; grandchildren, Alex Christ, Lillian and Jakob Wunderly, and Ashten Balkam; sisters, Linda B. (Serfass) Washeim, Janet C. (Serfass) Strouse, Kathy (Baker) Fassl, Sherry A. (Heitzman) Ross, and Wanda L. Heitzman; brothers, Rodney G. Baker, William F. Baker, Jr., and William L. Heitzman, III; sister‑in‑law Carol A. Price of Bethlehem and brother‑in‑law Carl R. Wunderly of Mesa, Arizona; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to lifelong family friends Mike Steiniger, Frankie Werkheiser, and to her neighbor, Mike Brougham, whose kindness and friendship were a blessing in her life.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
