Kathleen G. Schreck, 72, of Pen Argyl, formerly of Danielsville, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Easton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Dale Schreck whom passed away in 2022. Born in Easton, Kathleen was a daughter of the late Willard J. Sr. and Geraldine Hunter (Adams).

She enjoyed a life filled with creativity, friendship, and adventure. A graduate of Nazareth High School, she carried a love of learning and connecting with others throughout her life. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling, and attending concerts, especially those featuring her favorite country music artist, Alan Jackson. A talented and artistic person, she found great joy in painting, creating artwork, gardening and crocheting. Her eye for style and design was evident in the interior design parties she enjoyed hosting, where she delighted in bringing people together.

She began her working career as a seamstress at Pioneer Sportswear before joining Moravian Hall Square as a Certified Nurse's Aide. Motivated by her desire to care for others, she furthered her education at Northampton Community College, earning an Associate of Science degree in Nursing then attaining the title Registered Nurse. Throughout her nursing career, Kathleen worked for Chandler Estates and Gracedale Nursing Home where she compassionately cared for residents and formed many lasting friendships with both coworkers and those she served.

She will be missed by her children: Amy Kleintop (Robert) of Nazareth, Terri Baskar (Kevin) of Pen Argyl and John Baskar (Alicia) of Nazareth; grandchildren: Bryan, Justin, Brianna, Ashley and Jared; great-granddaughter: Brooke; brothers: Williard "Rusty" Hunter of East Stroudsburg, sisters: Sandy Branton (Jim) of Panama City, FL, and Cheryl Gerrity (Charles) of Bangor, PA.
