IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jean M.
Luciano
July 1, 1943 – February 5, 2026
Public Viewing
GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC
2:30 - 4:30 pm (Eastern time)
After a long and happy life filled with faith and family, Jean M. Luciano (née Wagner) passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2026. She was 82 and the first in her immediate family to live past 80, a goal of hers. Jean had a joyful, loving spirit and was filled with gratitude for life and all it had given her.
Born in Rochester, New York, Jean was the daughter of the late Frederick J. Sr. and Lois J. (Attridge) Wagner. Jean was a proud graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. After graduating from Le Moyne, she briefly taught French at the high school level before devoting her life to the love of marriage and motherhood.
Jean lived the last five years of her life at Country Meadows in Easton, Pennsylvania. She chose that location because it was close to one of her sons and his family, something that gave her great joy. Jean never missed an opportunity to be with family, including attending her sons' and grandchildren's sporting and other events.
Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and cherished time with immediate and extended family. She was an avid card player and enjoyed the time she spent playing with family and friends. Jean was a member of the Catholic Church and served as a Lector.
Jean was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony (Tony) S. Luciano, to whom she was married for 51 years before his passing in 2016. Together, they built a wonderful life in Buffalo, New York, and then Stamford, Connecticut, before moving to Hanover Township to be closer to family. Tony and Jean loved to travel, enjoying their many European river cruises. She had one brother, Frederick J. Wagner, Jr., and one sister, Judy Ann Wagner, who also preceded Jean in death.
Jean will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Anthony F. Luciano and wife, Megan, of Elmira, New York, and Robert M. Luciano and wife, Michelle, of Davidson, North Carolina. She was blessed to have five loving grandchildren: Cassidy, Christopher, Jordan (and spouse Ricardo), Matthew, and Sydney. She also had two great-grandchildren: Leila and Ava-Marie. She recently spent a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas with them all. She is also survived by many much-loved nieces, nephews, and friends, new and old.
Jean was extremely generous, contributing to many charities that help those in need, including those for dogs, given her lifelong love of animals.
Friends and Relatives are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026, from 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. in the GEORGE G.
