Herbert F. Schreck, Jr. 76, of York, formerly of Moore Twp., passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Georgianna Schreck (Rollar) to whom he was married to for 26 years. Born in Bethlehem, Herbert was a son of the late Herbert Sr. and Gertrude Schreck (Brauchle).

He worked for many years as a millwright and was a proud member of the United Steelworkers Union. He also served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force.

A man who enjoyed working with his hands, he was always tinkering, fixing things, or finding a project to keep himself busy. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and was an avid auto racing fan, especially NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. among his favorites. He also generously gave of his time as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, helping serve members of his community.

In addition to his wife, he will be dearly missed by his son: Herbert Schreck, III (Jessica) of Northampton; step-daughter: Shawn Brush (companion Sean) of York; step-son: Brian Brush (Tova) of York; grandchildren: Erik, Abigail and Sarah; brothers, Herschel Schreck (Kim) of Fountain Hill; aunt: Diana Speck of Allentown. Herbert was preceded in death by a brother: Heath Schreck.
