Gerard J. Caprio, 86, of Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of Wharton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Arden Courts in Bethlehem, PA. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Vigliorolo) Caprio, to whom he was married 51 years on September 7.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Gerard was a son of the late Gerard V. and Lucy (Pizzutti) Caprio. After graduating in 1957 from Orange High School, he honorably served in the United States Army, stationed near Kirchheimbolanden, Germany, and later continued his education at Bloomfield College and The Chubb Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

Throughout his career, Gerard was a highly successful entrepreneur & software designer working in the information technology sector. He founded Advanced Computer-Design Technologies, Inc., and his expertise was sought after by many companies, especially Warner Lambert in Morris Plains, NJ. More importantly, Gerard was a devoted and loving husband and father who was always present for the key moments in life. His annual cruises with his wife, his enthusiastic cheers at his sons' football and track events, his support for his sons' to further their education, and his presence around the dinner table each night will not be forgotten.

An avid sportsman, he loved watching football, baseball & ice hockey, and consistently worked out at the gym until his last years. He enjoyed listening and singing to music, and solving the daily crossword & cryptoquote puzzles. While living in Northampton county, Gerard served as a judge of elections in Hanover Township for a decade, while practicing his faith as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, PA. Gerard always made time for others and was well known for his generosity in the community.
