Geraldine M. Hannis, 88, formerly of Moore Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth, where she was a resident for the past 12 years. Geri and her late husband, Gene D. Hannis, were married 45 years before his passing in 2013.

Born in Bushkill Township, she was a daughter of the late Harold G. and Winifred M. (Hess) Remaly, and she was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1956.

Geri dedicated more than 30 years of service to Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, as a secretary, before retiring in 1992. Beyond her professional career with Ingersoll-Rand, she was a faithful and active member of Bushkill United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and singing on the choir. Additionally, she was a member of the United Methodist Women in Faith.

In her leisure time, Geri enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was an avid reader. She found great pleasure in the simple things in life and cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones.

Geri will live forever in the hearts of her family: sister, Muriel E. Kresge and husband, Mike, of Bushkill Township; brothers, Virgil B. Remaly and wife, Grace, of Lehighton, and Roy R. Remaly and wife, Corinne, of Nazareth; sister-in-law, Judith A. Remaly of Moore Township; brother-in-law, Leslie D. "Louie" Setzer of Klecknersville; along with nieces and nephews; and extended family.

In addition to her husband, Gene, she was predeceased by a sister, Darlene C. Setzer, in 2024; and a brother, Harold L. Remaly, in 2025. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Bushkill United Methodist Church, 1330 Church Road, Wind Gap, PA 18091. Friends and Relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Bushkill M.E. Cemetery, Bushkill Township. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath.
