Gerald Smith

Gerald L.S. Smith, 84, a lifelong resident of Nazareth, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley (Klipple) Smith, whom of which were married 65 years. Born in Fountain Hill, Gerald was a son of the late Stanley and Mildred (Kocher) Fry. Gerald worked as a facility manager at Frito-Lay - Nazareth.

Gerald served our country faithfully in the US Army during peacetime. He found solace in spending time at the family hunting cabin in Potter County, enjoyed listening to classic country music and showcasing his extensive knowledge of the history of his favorite singers. He cherished spending time with his family, sharing meals and enjoying special moments with his beloved family, and loved the company of his beloved cats.

Survivors: He will be dearly missed by his children: Kim Stavrou and her husband George of Roseto, Katrina Gordon and her husband Timothy of Nazareth, Gerald "Jerry" Smith and his wife Vicky of Nazareth and Justin "Judd" Smith and his companion Rebecca Miklas of Nazareth; sister: Carol Schuler, of Pen Argyl; grandchildren: Janelle, Natasha, Rayna, Derrick, Jerry, Alecia, Lauren, Kelly, and Kara; great-grandchildren: Talea, Jaelynn, Kaiden, Sedona, Taylee and Remmington; feline furry companions: Baby, Sparky, Maverick and Susie Q.

Gerald was predeceased by siblings: Nancy Kale, William "Billy" Fry and Dennis Hoffman.
