It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary K. Rohn, on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at his residence. Gary was married to his devoted wife, Sherrie Rohn, for 49 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Born on July 7, 1956, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Earl J., Jr. and Mary (Bannon) Rohn.
Gary embodied the true meaning of a family man. With his beloved wife, Sherrie, he devoted his life to his children and grandchildren, building a legacy defined by loyalty, love, and unwavering support. His impact reached far beyond his home. Through years of coaching youth wrestling, baseball, football, and high school softball, Gary shaped countless young athletes. For him, coaching was never just about the sport-it was about instilling "heart, effort, and hustle," values he worked to plant in every child he mentored.
A dedicated outdoors-man since the age of twelve, Gary found his deepest peace in the woods. He treasured the hours spent hunting with his father, Earl, children and grandchildren. These traditions became gifts he passed to the next generation, taking immense pride in teaching his children and grandchildren the tranquility of nature.
In his later years, Gary's love for the outdoors found a new home on the golf course. It became a shared passion with Sherrie, his children and grandchildren. He cherished every round, every swing, and every memory made on the green.
Gary's life was a testament to dedication-dedication to sports, passions, and above all, to the family who will carry his spirit forward.
Along with his wife Sherrie, Gary is survived by his children: Brian Rohn (Wendy) of Salado, TX; Robert Rohn (Elizabeth) of Bethlehem; Steven Rohn (Cortney) of Lower Nazareth; and Jessica Rohn (Casey) of McKinney, TX. Gary was a proud grandfather to Danielle, Tyler, Codey, Cally, Brady, Christian, and Aubrey, and he cherished his role as a great-grandfather to Meliodas. He is predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Rohn.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Gary's life on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Bath, PA 18014 where all are invited to pay your respects from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, allowing all who knew him to come together in remembrance. Immediately following the viewing, a Celebration of Life will begin at The Phoenix at the Holy Family Club, 515 W Mauch Chunk St. Nazareth, PA 18064. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
