Gary L. Petersen, 68, of Bushkill Twp., passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hecktown Oaks. He was the beloved husband of Janet Petersen (Kunkle) to whom he was married to 34 years. Born in Fountain Hill, Gary was a son of the late Carl and Virginia Petersen (Frantz).

He worked for many years as a painter and in final assembly at Gardner Cryogenics in Allentown. He was a former member of the Point Phillips Rod and Gun Club and found great enjoyment in shooting sports. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially with his grandson. He also took simple pleasure in sharing pizza with loved ones and could often be found happily tinkering in his garage.

In addition to his wife, He will be dearly missed by his son: Troy Petersen and his wife Lauren, who proudly serves in the United States Navy, of Virginia Beach, VA.; grandson: Caleb Petersen; brother: Donald Petersen of Bushkill Twp.
