On Monday evening, August 24, 2026, Gary G. Diefenderfer, 73, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at his home in Moore Township. He was the husband of the late Kerry M. (Barthold) Diefenderfer, to whom he was married for 43 years before her passing in 2020.

Born in Allentown, Gary was a son of Christine S. (Trach) Diefenderfer of Wind Gap and the late Myron M. Diefenderfer. He was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1971. Following high school, Gary established the family construction business, Diefenderfer Construction. Since 1981, he proudly co-owned and operated the Moore Township-based business with his brothers. The family's commitment to excellence in the construction industry will continue under the direction and proud ownership of his nephew, Michael Diefenderfer.

A true car enthusiast, Gary took great pleasure in working on his classic cars. He and his wife, Kerry, shared many cherished memories traveling together throughout the Islands of the South Caribbean. He also enjoyed a cold Schmidt's beer, trying his luck at gambling, and making the most of life. A dedicated family man, Gary took great pride in his work and was deeply committed to those he loved. His greatest joy, however, came from his family, especially his grandson, Colin, with whom he treasured every moment and whom he never missed an opportunity to spoil.

In addition to his loving mother, Christine, Gary will be dearly missed by his children, Samuel Diefenderfer and his wife, Jena, of East Allen Township, and Rachel Kelly and her husband, Scott, of Moore Township; his grandson, Colin; three brothers, Dennis Diefenderfer and his wife, Diana, and Curtis Diefenderfer, both of Moore Township, and Barry Diefenderfer and his wife, Regina, of Lehigh Township; along with nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Kerry, he was predeceased by his brother, Lee C. Diefenderfer, in 2021.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at bensingfuneralhome.net.
