IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Francis R.
Carr
May 27, 1951 – January 12, 2026
Francis R. Carr, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on May 27, 1951, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Ruth V. (Skillman) Carr.
He passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, adventure, and a deep love for life's simple and mechanical pleasures. Drafted into the United States Army during Vietnam, Frank proudly served his country, and enjoyed every minute of it.
By trade, Frank was a skilled mason, known for his strong hands, beautiful stone craftsmanship, and pride in a job well done. He built more than stone and brick - he built lasting impressions on those who worked alongside him.
Frank found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved boating and fishing trips to Canada, where peaceful waters and quiet mornings brought him happiness and cherished memories with his family. At home, his loyal German shepherds were constant companions, reflecting his love for animals and loyalty.
Frank had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, collecting cars, and just about "everything else under the sun." If it had an engine, history, or character, Frank likely had a story about it - or owned one himself!
Frank will be remembered for his strong spirit, hardworking nature, and the many stories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Frank is survived by his sons, Francis R. Carr Jr., William Carr and his wife Crystal, Sandi Carr and his wife Heather; grandchildren, Hailee, Zachary, Nikolas, Ryan, Livia, Collin, Arik, Alexis, Breanna, Tristan; brother, Donald Carr and his wife Leroux; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Carr, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Thomas W. Carr, Jr., and his sister, Joan Carr.
A Memorial Service and interment for Frank will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and cremation are under the care and direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
