Bruce Allen
Shoemaker
Mar 12, 1962 — Jul 8, 2026
reflected his deep appreciation for the outdoors and the natural world
Bruce Allen Shoemaker, 64, of Lower Macungie Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest - Allentown. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Shoemaker to whom he was married to for 35 years. Born in Fountain Hill, Bruce was a son of Nama Shoemaker (Rissmiller) of Bushkill Twp., and the late Kenneth Shoemaker.
He was employed as a troubleshooter and maintenance technician with Advanced Thermal Solutions - Emmaus, where he was known for his mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and dedication to his work. Away from the job, he found his greatest enjoyment outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he appreciated the peace and beauty of nature. He also had a special fondness for birds and could often be found watching and identifying the wildlife that visited his property.
One of his favorite pastimes was checking Nama's Ring cameras, eagerly looking for bears, cubs, and the many other animals that wandered by. These simple moments brought him great joy and reflected his deep appreciation for the outdoors and the natural world.
In addition to his wife, he will be dearly missed by his children: Krystal Rapp (Eric) of Easton, Ian Shoemaker and Shana Shoemaker of Lancaster; step-son: Joshua Ealey of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren: Trey Ealey and Forest Ealey; his dog Loki; brother: Kevin Shoemaker (Lori) of Saylorsburg; sisters: Roxane Shook (Ron) of Pen Argyl, Roberta Mitchell (Albert) of Levittown and Rochelle (Scott) Transue, of Simpsonville, SC.
As per Bruce's wishes no formal services will be held. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - Moorestown/Bath
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society. American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 www.cancer.org
