Benjamin H.
Jones, Jr.
Jul 24, 1941 — Jul 2, 2026
He had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued, comfortable, and loved.
Benjamin H. Jones, Jr., 84, of Bushkill Twp., passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Linda Jones (Young) to whom he was married to for 60 years. Born in Bangor, Benjamin was a son of the late Benjamin H. Sr. and Anna Jones (Hawbury).
A gifted machinist with a remarkable mechanical mind, he dedicated his career to precision craftsmanship and hard work. He began his career as a machinist with Penn Pump of Easton , and concluded with 28 years at Bosch Rexroth Corporation. Respected by both coworkers and friends, he was always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, and help a solve a problem. He served 4 years as an MP in the US Air force & was honorably discharged June 1966.
Later in life, his Christian faith became his foundation and guided the way he treated others each day. He devoted himself to his God , Jehovah & became a baptized member of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent many years sharing Bible truths with those he would meet in his ministry. One scripture he loved to share was that of his strong belief in the resurrection (John 5:28&29)
Whether he was warmly greeting or sharing one of his many jokes at the door of the local Kingdom Hall , he had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued, comfortable, and loved.
His dedication extended beyond the local congregation. He generously volunteered his time traveling wherever needed to assist with Kingdom Hall construction .
He found great fulfillment in using his talents to help others, never seeking recognition, only the opportunity to serve. He was a man who genuinely cared for people. His family recalls countless examples of his selflessness.
He had an extraordinary gift for repairing almost anything and creating something useful from what others might have discarded. Whether fixing, building, or inventing, his hands were rarely still. More importantly, he was the steady presence who helped keep his family together . His strong faith, generosity, kindness, and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
In addition to his wife, he will be dearly missed by his children: Melisa Lipyanic & Husband (John) of Bushkill Twp. and Benjamin H. Jones, III and wife (Jessica) of Bushkill Twp; grandchildren: Alyssa, Jennifer, Hayley, Hannah, Hayden; great-grandson: Logan, and Sister Gwen Jones of Forks twp. He was predeceased by two sisters: Sylvia & Lenore.
