Barry was a steadfast advocate for nature

Barry Lee Davis, of New Tripoli, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. He was 76 years old. Born on May 22, 1950, Barry was the son of the late Kermit and Helen (Talpas) Davis.

Barry was a graduate of Northampton Area High School. In his career he was a salesman in the wholesale beverage industry focusing on soft drinks, utilizing his skills in sales to make lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike. Throughout his career, he also contributed to gourmet foods industry. However, his greatest legacy lies not only in his professional endeavors but also in his unwavering dedication to the environment.

As an active member of the Sierra Club and the World Wildlife Foundation, Barry was a steadfast advocate for nature, always seeking to preserve its beauty for future generations. He cherished his time in his young years in the great outdoors, finding joy in camping, hiking, caving, and spelunking. His spirit resonated with the earth, and his love for wildlife and the planet inspired many around him to cherish and protect the natural world.

Barry is survived by his son Michael Davis of Allentown; brother, Terry Davis and his wife Diane; sisters, Lois Iasiello and husband Dellie, Lynn Nonnemaker and her husband Paul, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Davis.

Per Barry's wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family and interment to take place in the future at Covenant United Methodist Cemetery in Point Phillips.
