Barry L. Althouse, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Gracedale Nursing Home. He was the loving spouse of Delores J. "Dolly" Althouse for 33 years.

Born on May 23, 1946, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ray W. and Joyce (Fogel) Althouse.

Barry dedicated 36.5 years of his life to Phoenix Forging Co. in Catasauqua, where he worked as a forklift operator until his retirement in 2008. He was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his job, which contributed to the legacy of the manufacturing industry in the region.

Beyond his professional life, Barry had a deep passion for woodworking and gardening. These pursuits allowed him to express his creativity and connect with nature, bringing joy to his life and the lives of those around him.

Along with his wife Dolly, Barry is survived by his daughters, Sheila Clay and her husband George, Shelly Rhyne and her husband Robert, Kimberly Endreszl and her husband Joseph; Sons: Kevin Fehnel and his fiance Pam; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, a son, Keith Fehnel, brother, Todd Altehouse, sisters Donna Sedlock and Pam Makovsky, Bonnie Fritchey and Wanda Sheetz.

Services for Barry will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery - Little Moore in Danielsville.
