Throughout her life, held a special love for the music of Elvis Presley.

Arlene Edith Smith, 78, of Wind Gap, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Jeffrey Smith. Born in Bushkill Township, Arlene was a daughter of the late William and Edith Wambold (Frantz).

She was the proud owner and operator of the Newburg Deli, a business she shared with her daughter and one that became an important part of her life. She truly enjoyed the relationships formed there and the many familiar faces she came to know over the years. She was a former member of Bushkill United Methodist Church and, throughout her life, held a special love for the music of Elvis Presley.

Those who knew her will remember her strong personality, her devotion to family, and the things that brought her happiness throughout the years. And for someone who loved Elvis, perhaps it is fitting to say that while she has now "left the building," the memories she created and the love she shared will remain with her family and friends for years to come.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters: Tammy Siderias, of Wind Gap and Tonya Snyder, of Easton; step-daughter: Christie Smith-Shandor; 4 grandchildren: Ilissa, Joshua, Sydney, Qeron; 1 great-grandson: Rexton; brother: Robert Wambold; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Arlene was predeceased by a daughter: Tracy Melhem; step-son: Jeffrey Smith; sisters: Betty Muffley, Gladys Bensing, Geraldine Snyder, Lorraine Rissmiller, Shirley Heckman; brothers: Grant Wambold, George Wambold, Stanley Wambold, William Wambold and Earl Wambold.

As per Arlene's wishes NO formal services will be held. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - Moorestown/Bath.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Serenity Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support shown throughout her final days.
